In recent years, the worlds of luxury and character culture have moved increasingly closer together. Yet while many collaborations rely primarily on licensing and recognition, MOYNAT has taken a different approach.
The French maison, founded in 1849 and renowned for its heritage as one of the world's oldest trunk makers, has unveiled a new capsule collection created in collaboration with artist Kasing Lung. Following their first partnership in 2025, this second chapter will launch exclusively at Dover Street Market Ginza on June 10, 2026.

Kasing Lung is widely recognized as the creator of LABUBU, one of the most influential character phenomena in contemporary collectible culture.

However, his creative universe extends far beyond a single character. Born in Hong Kong and raised in Europe, Lung draws inspiration from Nordic folklore, mythology, and childhood imagination. In 2015, he introduced The Monsters, a fantastical world populated by mischievous yet endearing creatures that would later evolve into artworks, publications, and globally sought-after collectibles.

What attracted MOYNAT was not simply the popularity of LABUBU, but the narrative depth and imaginative spirit that define Lung's universe.
At the center of the collection is a newly developed canvas created exclusively for the collaboration.
MOYNAT's signature M monogram has been reinterpreted in black and silver, serving as a backdrop for illustrations from The Monsters. The result is a visual dialogue between the maison's historic design language and Lung's contemporary storytelling.

The collection spans a range of travel and leather goods, including tote bags, hobos, the Mini 48H, Little Suitcases, passport covers, notebook covers, charms, and key rings. Each canvas panel is intentionally positioned in a unique arrangement, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike.
The project reflects MOYNAT's continued commitment to craftsmanship while exploring new forms of creative expression.

What makes the collaboration particularly compelling is the way it bridges seemingly different worlds.
For MOYNAT, the partnership represents an opportunity to reinterpret its heritage through a contemporary cultural lens. For Kasing Lung, it offers a new medium through which his characters and stories can evolve.

The collection's exclusive launch at Dover Street Market Ginza further reinforces this dialogue. Long recognized as a meeting point for fashion, art, and street culture, DSM Ginza provides a fitting stage for a project that exists at the intersection of luxury craftsmanship and modern creative culture.

The collection campaign was photographed by Theo Liu and features members of the Japanese girl group f5ve—Kaede, Ruri, Miyuu, Sayaka, and Rui.

Presented through a monochromatic visual language, the campaign balances the playful energy of The Monsters with MOYNAT's refined aesthetic, creating a contemporary portrait of luxury infused with imagination.

Today, characters have become more than intellectual property. They have evolved into cultural symbols that connect communities and inspire emotional attachment.
MOYNAT's collaboration with Kasing Lung is not merely an attempt to capitalize on the popularity of LABUBU. Rather, it explores how a maison founded in 1849 can engage with contemporary storytelling while remaining true to its heritage.
The collection may feature characters, but what it ultimately invites us to carry is something larger: a world of imagination.
