The power of creativity brings the joy of encountering the unknown and a sense of hope into our everyday lives. For the 32nd edition of FASHION HEADLINE's creative series, Our Fashion Story, we turn our attention to Miu Miu.
At the heart of Miu Miu's Fall/Winter 2026 collection, conceived by Miuccia Prada, is the idea of the smallness of the human body in relation to the vastness of the world around us.
Against the immense scale of the world, the individual human body may seem small. Yet smallness does not necessarily imply weakness. The collection embraces the importance of turning our attention inward, recognizing our own worth, and caring for both body and mind. It is an expression of personal agency and the act of caring for oneself.
Clothing envelops the body while honoring the emotions and individuality that lie within. The softness of washed fabrics and the tactile intimacy of materials resting close to the skin create a deeply personal connection between clothing and the body. Cotton poplin, double cashmere, linen, and embroidered tulle further articulate this relationship.
What emerges is a sense of human strength: the ability to acknowledge one's own sensitivity while moving forward with independence and self-determination.
For this edition of Our Fashion Story, photographer Hidenobu Kasahara and makeup artist KOTOMi offer their own interpretation of Miu Miu's Fall/Winter 2026 collection.
Taking the collection's theme of the smallness of the human body within the vastness of the world as their starting point, they turn their attention to caring for the body and mind. Through photography and makeup, they capture the small moments of everyday life, along with the scenes and sensations that linger in memory.
Looking outward toward the immensity of the world, while remaining attentive to the quiet sensations within ourselves.
