Onitsuka Tiger Presents Autumn/Winter 2026 in Milan — An Aesthetic of “Ma” Redefines Modern Luxury

Onitsuka Tiger unveiled its Autumn/Winter 2026 collection during Milan Fashion Week, presenting a season shaped by the Japanese aesthetic concept of “Ma.”

In Japanese culture, Ma refers to the meaningful space between elements — a pause charged with tension rather than emptiness. It is not absence, but structure. Not silence, but anticipation. For AW26, the brand explored the fashion that exists between the extraordinary and the everyday, between formality and ease, between discipline and spontaneity.

The runway articulated this philosophy through unexpected juxtapositions. Formal, casual, workwear, and sportswear codes were seamlessly fused into looks that felt both intuitive and disruptive. A striped dress layered under an oversized herringbone hoodie, or an apple-green pleated dress paired with a compact corduroy-and-shearling vest with oversized pockets, exemplified this quiet collision of worlds.

Romanticism emerged in nuanced contrasts: a lightweight cotton check blouse infused with florals was styled with an ochre-yellow midi skirt that moved like feathers, cinched at the waist with a sky-blue ribbon. Elsewhere, apple-green fleece took center stage, layered over a caddie-pink blouse adorned with a bow at the neckline, balanced by a knitted mini skirt with patch pockets. Opposing textures and tones met in moments of subtle equilibrium.

Even the more casual silhouettes were grounded in meticulous tailoring. A military-inspired long double-breasted coat with contrast buttons styled alongside high-top sneakers, or a frilled floral check shirt layered beneath an olive double-breasted blazer and pleated mini skirt set, demonstrated the brand’s precision in proportion and structure.

Menswear followed a similar ethos of reinterpretation. An off-white fleece jacket embellished with hand-embroidered florals was styled with a lightweight shirt and soft khaki five-pocket trousers, dissolving traditional dress codes into a new hybrid vocabulary.

Footwear marked a milestone: in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the iconic MEXICO 66™, Onitsuka Tiger introduced the MEXICO 66™ SQUARE — a slimmer reinterpretation with a flatter silhouette. Available in lizard textures, floral prints, and diverse colorways, the design bridges archival heritage and contemporary refinement. Two new back-strap heels joined the lineup, alongside fashion-forward mountain boot reinterpretations.

Accessories extended the dialogue. A compact rectangular crossbody bag featuring vertical strap closures and stud detailing debuted for the season. Customizable charms — from colorful ribbons to mini earphone pouches, lipstick holders, and eyewear cases — added playful modularity to the collection’s structural core.

The show space was accented by ReFa HEART BRUSH in Onitsuka Tiger Yellow, presented as a special gift to guests. The collaboration introduced a subtle cross-disciplinary resonance, underscoring the brand’s expanding cultural dialogue.

Through the lens of Ma, Onitsuka Tiger constructs a wardrobe that exists in tension — between past and future, discipline and fluidity, sport and sophistication.

AW26 is not about filling space, but about defining it.
