PRADA unveiled its Fall Winter 2026 womenswear collection in Milan. Titled “INSIDE PRADA,” the collection by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons explores the complexity of women’s lives and identities through the process of layering.

At the core of the collection lies the act of layering itself. Just as people transform throughout the day through what they wear, each look reveals multiple facets. Layering here becomes more than a styling technique—it symbolizes the accumulation of personal histories, memories, and experiences.

In this context, layering is not merely about combining garments. It becomes a device that reflects the structure of the individual—where memories, experiences, and time overlap to form identity.

Tailoring, sportswear, and embroidered satin dresses are brought together in unexpected combinations that challenge traditional hierarchies of dress. These contrasts highlight PRADA’s distinctive fashion language, where opposing elements coexist within a single silhouette.

The collection also features fragments, tears, and patina effects that evoke the passage of time. Intentionally faded fabrics and embroidery treated with an aged finish suggest traces of life itself, presenting a new approach to ornamentation.

The show took place in the Deposito of Fondazione Prada, where original artworks and historic objects were installed throughout the space. Tapestries and paintings from the 16th and 17th centuries, Venetian mirrors and consoles from the 18th century, and furniture, lamps, and paintings from the 1900s formed a layered environment of artistic history.

Spanning nearly five centuries, these artworks reflect different cultures, periods, and places of creation. Like the garments themselves, their meanings overlap like layers—personal, intimate, and open to infinite interpretation.

Through garments, materials, and space, “INSIDE PRADA” reveals a vision where layers of clothing mirror layers of time, memory, and identity.
