Louis Vuitton presented its Women's Fall/Winter 2023 collection on March 6th at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris.

What is French style? The question itself is an enigma of endless fascination. It's an indecisive fashion that exists on a contradictory foundation of bold tradition. Couture conventions have embraced a surprising range of cultures, resulting in what's known as the French exception—a palimpsest of evolving fashion, converging multiple currents from all over. While inheriting this unique tradition, Louis Vuitton has always embraced the essence of travel. The Maison is a ship sailing through time, guided by the winds of savoir-faire, technology, discovery and artistic ideals. For the Fall/Winter 2023 collection, artist Philippe Parreno and production designer James Chinlund created a stage production based on a sound illusion created by Nicolas Becker, set in the Musée d'Orsay's salon, with its striking vaulted ceiling. The stylistic mystery deepens as a French (fashion) tale unfolds.
