On March 22nd, RITSUKO SHIRAHAMA presented its 2013-14 Autumn/Winter collection at Shibuya Hikarie. Designer: Toshiko Shirahama. This year's show, her first in four and a half years, featured the theme "Rock 'n' Roll Circus." Inspired by the TV videos the Rolling Stones made in the late 1960s, the collection captured the cheerfulness, silliness, and childlike worldview of that era. Impactful 1960s graphics, such as circles and stripes, adorned everything from clothing to hats, bags, and accessories. A variety of materials, including knitwear, captured the mood of the era. "I think it will be an unforgettable show. It was fun to create, and even in the dressing room, I was dancing and swaying while dressing the models. Although times have been tough since the Lehman Shock, I see signs of economic recovery, and I felt that now was the time to resume my collection. Everyone is happy, and I want to do my best for next season," said Shirahama.
