Get the latest Tokyo flavor from inside the station. Ecute Tokyo reopens after renovations, and the illuminations at Yaesu Exit Granroof will start on the 23rd.

Nov 18, 2013

Three and a half years after its opening, the station-based shopping complex "Ecute Tokyo" is undergoing its first renovation. Six new shops will open on November 22nd, five of which are Tokyo Station exclusives.

The Sweets & Goods Zone will be reopening under the concept of "Tokyo's Seasonal Seasons." Four new stores will open in the Sweets Zone, three of which are Tokyo Station exclusives, including "From Tokyo's Fields," which offers local sweets as part of a project to promote agricultural revitalization in Tokyo. Two Tokyo Station exclusive shops will also open in the Goods Zone, including "Bonchi Station," which offers original, carefully crafted Japanese goods, and will be launching a new "Tokyo Goods" line.

During the Christmas season, various areas of Tokyo Station City are decorated with Christmas decorations and illuminations. The Gran Roof at the Yaesu exit of Tokyo Station, which opened in September, is adorned with LED lights for the "Tokyo Station Gran Roof Crystal Illumination," which will run from November 23rd to January 13th, 2014, and is based on the concept of "a bridge of light connecting people." The approximately 230-meter deck will be illuminated with LED lights. For five days, from December 21st to 25th, there will also be the Gran Roof Christmas Photo Spot, where visitors' original messages will be projected onto the screen with laser beams. There are also a variety of Christmas cakes, sweets, and hors d'oeuvres that can only be purchased here. Enjoy the approaching Christmas season at Tokyo Station.
