Saint Laurent taps iconic 60s star Marianne Faithfull

May 30, 2014

Saint Laurent has tapped singer and actress Marianne Faithfull for its "Saint Laurent Music Project." Marianne Faithfull was a fashion icon in the 1960s, popular as a model, actress, and singer thanks to her pure singing voice and Lolita-like beauty. Saint Laurent's AW14-15 women's collection is inspired by the 1960s. Faithfull's involvement in the project highlights the connection between the 1960s fashion era, the era in which she flourished, and the AW14-15 season. Incidentally, Faithfull attended the collection. The SAINT LAURENT MUSIC PROJECT is a project by Hedi Slimane that focuses on the relationship between fashion and music. In addition to producing portrait visuals, it also commissions show music. In the past, the project has featured Marilyn Manson and Courtney Love in its visuals. The image of the rock star wearing Saint Laurent's iconic items caused a stir.
