[PR] Moroccanoil releases film with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, telling the stories of five women facing life challenges

Nov 14, 2014

Haircare brand Moroccanoil launched its first advertising campaign, "INSPIRED BY WOMEN." Model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley joined the campaign as an ambassador, and the brand also released a short film series, "INSPIRED." The short film, created by film director Bryce Dallas Howard, dramatically depicts the stories of five women working to change the world, set to music by composer Lorne Balfe. Boxer Chrissy Beckles founded "The Sato Project," which rescues abandoned dogs from Puerto Rico's "Dead Dog Beach." She fights in the ring for those who cannot fight. Rebecca Welsh founded the HALO Foundation, which uses art therapy to help homeless people and youth. Kavita Shukla, founder and CEO of Fenugreen, developed wrapping paper that keeps fruits and vegetables fresh for two to four times longer, combating food waste and hunger. The renewable energy-generating soccer ball, "SOCCKET," was developed by Jessica O. Matthews, co-founder and CEO of "Uncharted Play." The ball was also developed by Allison Ahlstrom, who, at the age of 14, founded "Threads For Teens," a trailer boutique that provides free clothing to underprivileged girls. Their stories are told through the eyes of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, creating a film that explores the value of life. Ahead of the campaign, Whiteley commented, "I'm honored to be able to celebrate these incredible women. I hope their inspirational stories inspire women to make a difference in their own lives and for the many others they serve."

Moreover, Moroccanoil co-founder Carmen Tal said, "Through this work, we hope to empower women who are inspired to discover their own self-worth and beauty, and take the concept of beauty to the next level. Rosie's timeless, global beauty, which embodies the Moroccanoil aesthetic, is someone who has inner strength and lives her life to the fullest."
