The partnership between Louis Vuitton and UNICEF, which began in 2016, marks its tenth year this year. While a decade can be summed up in a single line of numbers, what has accumulated over that time is not a series of one-off donations or campaigns, but the choice to continue—steadily and consistently.
To mark this milestone, the Maison has introduced a limited gold edition of the Silver Lockit pendant. For the first time, yellow gold has been adopted in a collection that has previously centered on silver, signaling a subtle but significant evolution in its expression.

Silver Lockit takes its motif from the padlock used on Louis Vuitton’s Steamer bag, first introduced in 1901. The padlock symbolizes protection, trust, and transmission—values long upheld by Louis Vuitton and deeply rooted in UNICEF’s mission.
Since the initial commitment made in 2016, this jewelry collection has been released annually in evolving forms. Behind it lies a sustained effort to raise social awareness of children’s rights.

To date, more than USD 28 million has been raised through the LOUIS VUITTON for UNICEF partnership, supporting health, education, and child protection programs for children in the world’s most vulnerable situations. What matters here is not the magnitude of the figure itself, but the way ten years of time have been translated into tangible, ongoing support.
This limited gold edition is produced in very small quantities. For each pendant sold, USD 800 is donated to UNICEF, directly contributing to initiatives that support children in need. The enduring nature of gold resonates with the continuity of this decade-long commitment, elevating the piece beyond mere adornment.

As an anniversary year, 2026 will see further developments following the presentation of the Silver Lockit 2026 collection scheduled for April, alongside a range of events and commemorative initiatives throughout the year. Details will be announced in due course. Rather than serving as a conclusion, this limited edition can be understood as a passage toward the next chapter.
The edition will be available at Louis Vuitton stores worldwide and on the official website. In the manufacturing and sourcing of materials, Louis Vuitton works exclusively with partners certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), ensuring responsible practices across the entire supply chain. UNICEF does not endorse any company, brand, product, or service. Precisely for that reason, what this jewelry represents is not a declaration of “rightness,” but the fact of having carried a commitment forward for ten years—quietly rendered visible through the material of gold.
