Moncler and Rick Owens present their first-ever summer collection under the banner Moncler + Rick Owens. Drawing inspiration from Berlin’s monumental brutalist architecture and Moncler’s longstanding expertise in outdoor performance, the collection proposes lightweight yet functional silhouettes designed to explore the edges of the urban landscape.

This vision—where nature and the city collide—comes to life at the intersection of Berlin’s monolithic concrete structures and pastoral greenery. Rick Owens encapsulates this dialogue in the term “brucolic,” a word he coined by merging brutalism and bucolic. The concept perfectly reflects the collection’s ethos: a meeting point between severity and softness, architecture and landscape.

Looks combine quilted shorts and fluid asymmetric jersey skirts with tonal hiking socks and the Trailgrip Megalace sneakers, allowing for a seamless transition from city streets to untamed outdoor settings. The color palette spans black, dark dust, vintage olive, and the newly introduced carnation red, while angular Geo-Camo quilting and graphic embroidery echo the raw textures of brutalist façades.

Lightweight outerwear in leather and nylon, summer-ready windbreakers, and relaxed jersey pieces are explored through playful proportions and exaggerated silhouettes. A gender-fluid approach runs throughout the collection, expressed in relaxed bombers, cinched cropped styles, and sculptural shoulders. Accessories include sunglasses, quilted bucket hats, caps, and functional waist bags.

The campaign imagery, shot by photographer Juergen Teller, features Rick Owens alongside his wife and muse Michèle Lamy, as well as Teller himself with his wife and creative partner Dovile Drizyte.
