MUVEIL, designed by Nakayama Michiko, has unveiled its 2018 Spring/Summer collection.

This season's theme is "Wish Upon a Star," inspired by the desire to "bring peaceful happiness to everyone through nostalgic celestial patterns and constellations." With key colors like navy, reminiscent of the night sky, and magenta, evoking a sense of determination, the collection proposes a profound femininity through items and styling inspired by the costumes and casual wear of beloved actresses (stars) of the past. Hand-printed patterns of ancient celestial maps scattered throughout dresses and other items, and embroidery featuring motifs of constellations and seasonal messages, seem to express the radiance of the inner woman.
