"Disney Princess and Frozen Exhibition" exploring the charms of nine Disney princesses to be held at Matsuya Ginza

Apr 10, 2016

The POWER OF PRINCESS "Disney Princesses and Frozen" exhibition, showcasing nine Disney princesses, will be held from April 13 to May 8 at the Event Square on the 8th floor of Matsuya Ginza.
The exhibition features nine Disney princesses, including Snow White, Cinderella, Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, Ariel from The Little Mermaid, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Jasmine from Aladdin, Rapunzel from Tangled, and Anna and Elsa from Frozen. Focusing on each princess's individuality and inner strength, the exhibition explores the reasons why each princess was able to find happiness and their individual charms.
The exhibition will feature over 400 valuable items from the collections of the Walt Disney Archives and the Walt Disney Animation Research Library, which preserve historical materials related to Walt Disney. These include art, cels, live-action films, props, and maquettes, some of which will be on display in Japan for the first time. The lineup includes the costume worn by the actress who acted as Snow White, which served as a reference for animators when drawing her, and a storybook of props from "Sleeping Beauty." Also on sale are limited edition goods such as Kyoto fans (10,584 yen each, tax included) with illustrations from "Snow White," "Sleeping Beauty," and "Cinderella," and a Swarovski "Rapunzel Vase."
