Lucien Pellat-Finet, known as the "King of Cashmere," has launched a sustainable line using upcycled eco-cashmere.


Eco-cashmere is a blend of hand-sorted cashmere, which is made from fine fibers that would otherwise be discarded during the spinning of cashmere yarn, and virgin cashmere from new wool.

Since the brand's launch, Lucien Pellat-Finet has explained his commitment to cashmere as "the finest natural material obtained without taking a life." He launched this project based on his policy of sustainable products, where high-quality items are passed down from generation to generation, and of contributing to environmental protection by reducing CO2 emissions.



The lineup of items made from eco-cashmere includes pullovers, blousons, and shorts featuring the "Cuba" logo on the chest, the theme of the 2021 Spring/Summer collection. They use the soft, colorful pastel colors (cream yellow, pale pink, mint green, and sky blue) found in the streets of Old Havana, and feature splash prints reminiscent of the Caribbean.

The line is now available at Lucien Pellat-Finet stores, including Isetan Shinjuku and Tokyo Midtown, as well as the official online boutique.


New motifs for this season include Che Guevara, who started the Cuban Revolution, a vintage car from the 1950s, the COCOTAXI, the Cuba Libre cocktail, the national sport of baseball, and the national bird of Cuba, the Tocororo. The positive and cheerful message conveyed is typical of Lucien Pellat-Finet and is conveyed to the current era.




Also, for autumn, the second series of bags and small leather goods from the collaboration with Morabito, a long-established luxury Parisian leather brand, which was launched in the autumn/winter 2019 season, is scheduled to be released.
