Casio Computer Co., Ltd. will release the GMW-B5000TR, a new addition to its "G-SHOCK" shock-resistant watch series, on April 23rd. The square-shaped, full-metal "5000" series features a new titanium alloy developed specifically for "G-SHOCK."
GMW-B5000TR
The GMW-B5000TR features an exterior made from titanium alloy from Nippon Steel Corporation's design titanium brand, "TranTixxii(R)." In pursuit of further material evolution for "G-SHOCK," our company and Nippon Steel Corporation spent six years collaborating to develop a new titanium alloy. While retaining titanium's lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and hypoallergenic properties, this alloy boasts approximately twice the hardness of pure titanium. This makes it possible to achieve a finish on par with stainless steel, a previously difficult material to achieve a mirror finish. For the first time, a "G-SHOCK" titanium model features a full mirror finish on the top surface of the bezel and band. The mirror finish of this new material, comparable to stainless steel, allows for new expressions that bring out the beauty of IP, resulting in a first for a metal model featuring multicolor IP. The case features gold IP, while the band and buttons are colorfully finished in a newly developed dark blue, as well as red, light gray, dark gray, and gold, resulting in a playful design that is characteristic of "G-SHOCK." The multicolor dial also adds a pop of color to the watch. In terms of functionality, it is equipped with a smartphone link function, which allows for easy setting of various functions such as automatic time adjustment and world time. It also has practical features such as Casio's original solar charging system "Tough Solar" and "Multiband 6," as well as a high-brightness fully automatic LED backlight. 1. English:
