Valentino presented its Spring/Summer 2015 collection. Maria Grazia Chiuri and Paolo Piccioli were inspired by the Grand Tour, a tradition enjoyed by the young men of 18th-century aristocracy. The collection's eye-catching dresses feature a variety of elaborate designs, all featuring classic shapes. High-waisted, tiered, and backless aprons are just some of the styles. The straight cuts of autumn fabrics create a sensual peek of skin. These pieces showcase clean lace, light, flowing chiffon, vibrant botanical patterns, feather embroidery, embroidery of sea creatures like starfish and shells, and lace-like cutwork. Sea elements are also incorporated into weaving, with bold coral and seahorse motifs woven into dresses and coats.
The color palette is a mix of soft tones of white, pastel green, blue, and yellow, mixed with bold shades of indigo, khaki, and black.
Flat gladiator sandals and lightweight high heels evoke a sense of travel.
