Maison Margiela has unveiled its first residential project, Maison Margiela Residences, marking a new chapter in the house’s ongoing exploration of architecture and design.

From its beginnings, architecture and spatial expression have played a central role in defining the maison’s identity. This project extends that legacy, translating Margiela’s codes—deconstruction, trompe-l’œil, and transformation—into the realm of luxury living.
Redefining Luxury Through Architecture
Developed in partnership with Alta Real Estate Development, the residences are located on Palm Jumeirah, one of Dubai’s most exclusive destinations.
Comprising 25 bespoke units, the project presents a new definition of luxury from an architectural perspective, where material research and structural excellence converge.

In collaboration with Italian architect Carlo Colombo, a custom collection of furniture—including sofas, armchairs, tables, beds, and lighting—has been designed exclusively for the residences, creating a unified visual language between architecture and interior design.

The Evolution of Margiela’s Spatial Language
Maison Margiela has long regarded interiors and furniture as essential expressions of its creative vision. Early offices featured white-painted furniture and objects, transforming everyday items into minimalist experiments.

This approach later shaped retail spaces, installations, and collaborations, notably through iconic pieces such as the “Group” armchair and recurring motifs seen across exhibitions and collections. With Maison Margiela Residences, these explorations evolve into a fully immersive living environment.
Materials, Craft, and Living
Travertine furniture inspired by classical objects, the maison’s signature décortiqué technique, and resin-filled optical white recesses reflect Margiela’s playful engagement with materials and craftsmanship.

Amenities—including an art gallery, curated library, spa, fitness facilities, infinity pool, and the Maison Margiela Café—offer an atmosphere defined by understated elegance and intuitive comfort.
From Fashion House to Lifestyle Space
Coinciding with the opening of a new boutique and café in Dubai, Maison Margiela Residences signals the brand’s expanding presence in the region.
It stands as a symbol of the maison’s evolution—where fashion, architecture, and lifestyle converge into a new spatial expression.
