IKUMI held its 2017 Spring/Summer collection show at Laforet Harajuku on June 25th. This was their first show in Tokyo in two years.

The collection, created in the brand's signature black and white, featured bold distressing, calligraphy and shunga prints evoking a Japanese aesthetic, and motifs such as "suspenders" and "gacha belts" written in katakana on items.

The hair and makeup theme was "aliens." The models' faces and hair were painted in black and white, and the sound of a piano reminiscent of a heartbeat completed IKUMI's worldview.
