MYKITA has launched its first children's eyewear collection, "MYKITA FIRST." Each model in the collection is named after a character from "Animal Kingdom," including "PANDA," "SWARROW," and "JAGUAR." The lineup includes seven styles: four eyeglasses and three sunglasses. All are unisex and come in classic shapes like round, panto, cat's eye, aviator, and square. A wide variety of colors are available, including shiny silver, lilac, fluo red, night blue, and black. The collection was developed in collaboration with children gathered at MYKITA headquarters, with the aim of creating ergonomic products that fit children's faces and appealing to their tastes. The frames are crafted from lightweight stainless steel and adjustable to accommodate children's movements. They're also rubber-coated for durability and scratch resistance. The shiny silver model is the only one that remains uncoated, showcasing the refined look of the metal. Some models also feature playful, vibrant colors on the temple ends that rest against the ears. The sunglasses also feature Carl Zeiss tinted lenses that minimize glare and block 100% of UV rays. Each item also comes with a specially designed case. This durable, slim cover is a matte dove gray with powder blue accents. Photographer Mark Boswick created the collection's campaign visuals in parallel with the brand's 2015 campaign. The shoot took place on a vast rooftop garden in Brooklyn, with a view of the Manhattan skyline in the distance. The images show children and goats wearing the collection's pieces enjoying themselves in a green oasis. Illustrator Jordie van den Nieuwendyk complemented the images with organic, yet somewhat sensuous, illustrations. The vivid colors and bold shapes perfectly match the natural mood and background of the works.

The collection will be available at Isetan Shinjuku on March 4th. From May, it will be available at fashion boutiques and eyewear stores, including MYKITA Shops.
