Dries van Noten's AW 2015-16 collection featured many pieces with voluminous silhouettes. Among them, a shimmering, iridescent, three-quarter-sleeve cut-and-sew top (¥228,000) stood out with its compact silhouette.
Iridescent sequins are placed on a silk-blend wool jacquard fabric. The pattern, combining sequins of different sizes, resembles jungle botanicals. Each piece was hand-embroidered by artisans in India, and it's no exaggeration to say it has reached the level of haute couture.
In this collection, the piece is paired with oversized, mannish pants to express a unique and powerful feminine image.
Also available is a black background with different colors of sequins.
