Maria Sharapova was born on April 19, 1987, in the Tyumen region of Russia. She currently resides in the United States. She began playing tennis at age four. Her talent was discovered by professional tennis player Martina Navratilova at age six, and she enrolled at the prestigious Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy at age nine. She turned professional at age fourteen and won her first tournament in 2002. She reached the round of 16 at Wimbledon in 2003. Her powerful serve and strokes, combined with her well-built physique, further fueled her popularity, along with her stunning looks. At Wimbledon in 2004, she won her first Grand Slam tournament at age seventeen. She also won the US Open in 2006 and the Australian Open in 2008. After struggling with injuries, she recovered and became the tenth player in history to win a career Grand Slam at the French Open in 2012. She also won a silver medal at the London Olympics.

Taking advantage of his 187cm height and good looks, he serves as a global ambassador for Porsche, and also produces perfume and sweets brand SUGARPOVA. In January of this year, a new menu developed based on his own workouts was added to the latest version of Nike's training app Nike+ Training Club.
