Pan Am is opening a pop-up shop at the West Park Decade on the second floor of the main building of the Isetan Shinjuku store ahead of its full-scale launch in Japan this fall. It will be open until June 3rd and will offer travel-inspired bags and stationery. The shop will sell stationery in collaboration with the Nakameguro general store Traveler's Factory, including the "Orion Bag," a gift given to first-class passengers in the 1960s, the "PAA Messenger Bag" made of easy-to-carry canvas, and more. The lineup includes notebooks for storing paper items like passports and maps, masking tape with the brand's logo, postcards featuring vintage poster designs, stickers, and more. The stationery will be available exclusively at the store. Pan Am is an abbreviation for "Pan American World Airways," a leading American airline of the 20th century that operated from 1927 to 1991. It is famous for being the airline The Beatles flew on during their first visit to the United States in 1964. The Pan Am logo is also featured on the passenger plane flying through space at the beginning of the 1968 film 2001: A Space Odyssey.
