Capes are a new addition to this fall/winter collection. They were used in a variety of styles, from military to formal and casual knitwear.
Chloé's cape has a schoolgirl vibe, featuring a belt around the neck and crisp wool material. It's longer at the back like a cape.
Gucci, whose muse is a sexy femme fatale, paired a body-conscious, structured khaki dress with a cape made of the same material. She suggested a military-inspired look with black gloves and long boots.
Dior introduced the cape in an evening style. An asymmetrical cape-like top was paired with a skirt featuring similar asymmetrical draping. It was an art piece-like style that paid homage to the gallerist Monsieur Dior.
Stella McCartney layered a knit cape over a knit, adding a unique touch to her usual knitwear. Another key point is that by choosing a solid gray color, the combination of the pinstripe knit and skirt is balanced out well.
