Jean Paul Gaultier designed the wedding dress for Beth Ditto, the muscular lead singer of the punk rock band Gossip.
On July 24, Beth posted a photo of her wedding ceremony, which took place last month in Hawaii, the hometown of her partner, Christine Ogata, on Facebook. She walked barefoot down the aisle in a white tulle dress designed by Gaultier. Ogata wore a tuxedo with white shorts. Beth is openly lesbian, and Ogata is her assistant.
In addition to posting a drawing of the design on Facebook, Gaultier tweeted, "Congratulations on your marriage! With happiness and love. JPG."
Beth appeared in Gaultier's Spring/Summer 2011 women's collection show.
