Bottega Veneta opens second store in Milan, featuring a bright design in a historic building

Sep 30, 2013

Bottega Veneta has opened a new boutique on Via Sant'Andrea in Milan. This is the brand's second store in Milan, following its flagship store on Via Montenapoleone. Housed in an 18th-century building, the store spans two floors, covering 1,060 square meters. The first floor houses men's and women's items, each with its own entrance. The second floor is dedicated to furniture and jewelry. Creative Director Tomas Maier designed the interior with a "brightness" concept. Featuring large windows and balconies, the glass-enclosed courtyard is surrounded by arched ceilings and columns, creating a location that is typical of Milanese architecture. The interior features suede-covered walls and furniture combining mohair and leather upholstery, and Venetian terrazzo is used near the entrance. "Bottega Veneta has grown by expanding its product categories and offering special services tailored to the individual needs of its customers, and this move represents a new approach to shopping and the evolution of our retail division," Maier said in a statement.
