For the 30th installment of FASHION HEADLINE’s creator series Our Fashion Story, we focus on DRIES VAN NOTEN.
The Autumn/Winter 2026–2027 collection explores a state of Becoming—the transitional moment between youth and adulthood. It is a time when identity is being formed, and when what we wear begins to shape both how we are perceived by others and how we perceive ourselves.
Balancing structure and fluidity, delicacy and strength, innocence and maturity, the collection portrays not a finished character, but a person in transition. It is less a story about becoming an adult than a meditation on the ongoing process of becoming oneself.
This time, photographer Hidenobu Kasahara offers a visual interpretation of the collection’s central theme in “DRIES VAN NOTEN × Becoming.” Capturing the quiet strength of a figure whose contours have yet to fully emerge, the story reflects a moment of transformation—fleeting, uncertain, and profoundly beautiful.
