Gunma Seimitsu, which has been involved in the OEM production of numerous brand-name watches, handling everything from planning to after-sales service, has announced its new brand, "MONOLITH." These watches feature exquisitely designed timepieces overseen by Katsufumi Kubota, an architect renowned for his minimalist style.

Gunma Seimitsu's original brand, MONOLITH, was created through a unique collaboration with an architect. The design was overseen by Katsufumi Kubota, an architect renowned both in Japan and overseas as a pioneer of minimalism. The MONOLITH model, named after the brand itself, exudes a striking presence with its refined design, featuring a matte-coated titanium case and a dark, jet-black dial.

"The minimalism I aimed for with MONOLITH is not simply about eliminating waste and simplifying things. When I have visited famous buildings, I have felt a sense of peace and strength rising within me when I was in their minimalist spaces. Traditional Japanese architecture, which can be described as particularly simple, has a beauty that brings the human psyche and nature together. I believe that this is the power of minimalism. Through these experiences, I have cultivated what I have learned as an architect, and I can apply it to watch design. When you reach the state of nothingness, something beyond human understanding is born. I want MONOLITH to be a presence that invigorates the spirit every time you lay eyes on it. I believe that this will inspire you to live a richer life."
