Magnolia Bakery opens its first store in Western Japan, opening a pop-up shop at the Hankyu Umeda Main Store

Feb 26, 2015

Magnolia Bakery will open a pop-up shop at the Tree Terrace on the first basement floor of the Hankyu Umeda Main Store from March 4th to 9th.

This is Magnolia Bakery's first store in Western Japan. The shop offers a lineup of four varieties of the hugely popular cupcakes from its first Japanese store, which opened in Omotesando in June 2014. The classic "Classic Cupcake" (430 yen) comes in two flavors: vanilla and chocolate. Other items on offer include the new "The Japan Cupcake" (480 yen), created as part of support for the recovery efforts in the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, and a "Daily Cupcake" (480 yen).

In addition, three limited-edition White Day items will be available. The menu will include the "Jewel Cupcake" (480 yen), which looks like a cake topped with a jewel, the "White Chocolate Macadamia Cheesecake" (980 yen), and the bar "White Chocolate Fudge Brownie" (380 yen). A wide variety of other items will also be available, including "Whoopi," a traditional Northeastern American dessert.
