BALMAIN HOMME's Spring/Summer 2015 collection was inspired by downhill skiing and Formula 1 racing uniforms. The collection borrowed red and navy from the uniform worn by Jean-Claude Killy, a member of the alpine skiing team at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoville, France. The tricolor combination was inspired by orange, a key color symbolizing the 1960s and 1970s. The blousons and pants, inspired by Formula 1 racing uniforms, were crafted from leather. They were embellished with Balmain's signature beaded embroidery, creating a hard-edged yet luxurious look. The open-toed gladiator boots rounded out the overall look and added a touch of modernity. The collection effortlessly blended sport and couture with exquisite balance.
