ISSEY MIYAKE has produced an image video for its Spring/Summer 2017 collection.

The collection's theme is "microcosm," and it expresses the idea that just as a small seed can grow into a tree and bear fruit, so too can manufacturing begin with a small spark. In addition to its signature process, "Baked Stretch," the video includes a series symbolizing the new "Cut & Stick" collection, characterized by constructive forms created by gluing together geometrically cut pieces.

The image video was created by London-based photographer Jacob Sutton. Regarding the image video, Sutton said, "Issey Miyake's Spring/Summer 2017 collection is expressed with dynamic lines and colors, like the technological materials represented in 'Cut & Stick.' Together with the cutting-edge model Sophia Ahrens, we created an energetic, light-filled video using collage techniques."
