A pop-up store for BRICK & MORTAR, a select shop run by artist Shu Murakami, will open in Omotesando Hills Pocket, an information space at Omotesando Hills, from October 1st to 12th. The store will offer an early release of new products from the "MOOMIN x amabro" series, a collaboration between the product brand amabro and Moomin. The store will feature Arita ware plates, bowls, and clocks, all of which are depicted using the blue and white porcelain technique. In addition to amabro's original Japanese tableware and interior goods, the store will also exhibit and sell one-of-a-kind imported goods sourced from New York, Brazil, Turkey, Vietnam, and elsewhere, as well as graphics and paintings by Shu Murakami. BRICK & MORTAR opened in Nakameguro in March 2014. The store seeks to discover new value in products that transcend borders and styles, selecting and developing items that are relevant to the modern era.
