This fall, MARC JACOBS will announce a special collaboration with model Mori Hikari to celebrate the launch of a collection symbolizing the brand's "Americana" DNA and the launch of the denim-based THE MONOGRAM COLLECTION.

Original designs created by Mori Hikari, inspired by Marc Jacobs and Americana, will be sold as a bandana collection. The bandana designs are special items printed on silk, featuring art pieces that Mori Hikari illustrated and dyed herself using indigo dye, specially for this project. Each drawing of the illustration is expressed using shibori, creating a masterpiece that stands out in white against the indigo blue. Available as a fashion accessory and bag accessory, the indigo, a color passed down across countries and generations, is imbued with the brand's passion and love for people.


Mori Hikari embodied her passion in her creation, saying, "I collaborated with my favorite brand, MARC JACOBS, to design a special bandana that expresses traditional Japanese indigo dyeing using the shibori technique. In today's fast-paced world, I want to share with you a design story woven from the slow-fermentation of indigo, a plant, and the shibori dyeing process, which is performed in collaboration with artisans, one by one."

Three types of collaborative bandanas will be available on August 10, 2022. The items will be available individually and as a set with a bag that expresses the Americana theme, and will be available for purchase exclusively at the limited-time stores held simultaneously at Ginza Mitsukoshi and Hankyu Umeda Main Store, as well as at the official online store.
