Paul Smith's cycling-related book "PAUL SMITH'S CYCLING SCRAPBOOK," which was published in the UK in May this year, is now on sale in Japan. To commemorate this, a signing event with Paul Smith will be held on October 2nd at the cyclist cafe Rapha Tokyo in Kitasando, Tokyo, exclusively for purchasers of the book.
Paul Smith, who once aspired to be a professional racer, chronicles his passion for cycling with over 400 visuals, from memorable photographs and illustrations to his own collection of cycling jerseys and rare catalogues from the 1950s and 1960s.
On the occasion of the publication of the book, Paul commented, "As many of you may already know, I have loved bicycles since I was a child and dreamed of becoming a professional racer. I have a huge collection of bicycle-related memorabilia and many wonderful memories related to cycling. For this book, my friend and journalist Richard Williams has carefully selected some of the best items from my archives and compiled them together with some of my favorite anecdotes. I hope everyone enjoys it."
To coincide with the book's release in Japan, Paul Smith will be visiting Japan in October. On October 2nd, Paul will visit Rapha Tokyo for a signing event. Participation in the event is limited to purchasers of the book, of which only 50 copies will be on sale from 2:30 pm on the day. For inquiries about the event, please contact Rapha Tokyo.
