From August 2nd to 31st, Shiseido Parlour Ginza Main Store Salon de Café will be hosting the second installment of its "2016 Midsummer Parfait Fair," where customers can enjoy parfaits made with an abundance of carefully selected seasonal fruits.
This time, four parfaits will be offered, with fruit jelly and fruit compotes filling the parfait glass all the way to the bottom, and even the ice cream and sorbet made with homemade fruit as the main fruit. One of these parfaits, the "Domestic Golden and White Peach Oriental Parfait" (1,890 yen including tax), is an oriental parfait that combines juicy domestic golden and white peach compote with matcha ice cream. It is accented with strawberry sauce.
The "Okinawa Keitt Mango Parfait" (2,580 yen including tax) uses the rare Keitt mango, known for its low fiber content and smooth texture. The figs are carefully cut to be enjoyable in both appearance and texture, and are presented with tropical homemade mango sorbet, exotic sauce, milk ice cream, cranberry sauce, and more. The "Fig Parfait from Kinokawa City, Wakayama Prefecture" (2,160 yen including tax) is a parfait that allows you to enjoy seasonal figs in various forms, including red wine and rosé wine compote. It is garnished with fig sorbet, raspberries, red currants, and more.
In addition, to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Tokyo Ginza Shiseido Building (strawberry), the "Koihime Strawberry Parfait from Shinshu Hatakobo, Nagano Prefecture" (1,890 yen including tax) has been introduced. It is made with a generous amount of rare "Koihime" summer strawberries, which are harvested in Shiseido Parlour's dedicated greenhouse and have a mellow flavor with little acidity.
