Until September 30th, Hotel New Otani Tokyo's Japanese restaurant, KATO'S DINING & BAR, will be serving Satsuki Edo Shaved Ice, a Satsuki Edo sweet made with natural spring water.
Satsuki Edo Shaved Ice is a limited-time dessert created by Grand Chef Nakajima Shinsuke, who created Edo Sweets at Patisserie SATSUKI. Four flavors of shaved ice - matcha, mango, melon, and strawberry - are each topped with Japanese ingredients such as red bean paste, brown sugar syrup, and yokan, and topped with a special sauce made with kudzu and natural fruit juice. The prices are 1,800 yen for the mango, melon, and strawberry flavors, and 2,100 yen for the matcha flavor.
