"VOGUE FASHION'S NIGHT OUT 2014 (FNO)," a shopping event sponsored by VOGUE JAPAN, will be held in Tokyo (September 6th) and Osaka (October 18th). Now in its sixth year, FNO is one of the world's largest shopping events. Its goal is to convey the power and joy of fashion through shopping, and it will be held in 20 countries around the world. In Tokyo, the event will focus on shops in the Omotesando and Aoyama areas, while in Osaka, numerous brands will come together to hold a variety of events at Hankyu Umeda Main Store and Hankyu Men's Osaka. The Tokyo event will feature a special live performance by Miliyah Kato at the opening. Other guests at the ceremony include Chris Peppler as MC, models Yonga and TAO, and Ambush visual director YOON. The "VOGUE Lounge" will open in Space O at Omotesando Hills. A panel photo corner will be set up where you can experience the feeling of being a cover girl. You can choose your favorite design from Vogue's covers and take photos like a model. Other events include screenings of a movie summarizing Vogue's fashion story and displaying snapshots of fashionistas who attended FNO. The space allows you to enjoy the world of Vogue with a DJ performance as the backdrop.
In collaboration with J-WAVE, "GRATITUDE" will air a segment linked to the event, "NIGHT OUT MUSIC," from August 18th to September 4th. On the day of the Tokyo event, a live recording of the program is scheduled to be held at the J-WAVE satellite studio. The event's performers will report on the excitement at the venue.
In addition, a smartphone-based information sharing service will be provided to coincide with the event. Information on advance sales, limited items, and sales will be distributed, and various events will be broadcast live. To commemorate the 15th anniversary of Vogue Japan's launch, the "VOGUE JAPAN 15th Anniversary FNO Special Audi A1 Giveaway Campaign" will be held until 10pm on the 6th, where participants can win Audi's premium compact car, the Audi A1.
FNO promotes social contribution through fashion, and will be holding charity events at both the Tokyo and Osaka venues. Donation boxes will be set up at participating shops and facilities, and those who contribute will receive an original bag as a gift. The funds collected will be donated to KnK (Children Without Borders), which is working to support the recovery efforts following the Great East Japan Earthquake.
