Saint Laurent presented its collection in a special tent on the grounds of Les Invalides. Creative Director Hedi Slimane followed his signature musician-inspired style, mixing a teddy boy rock vibe with the intricate, delicate handwork that conveys Saint Laurent's signature craftsmanship to create a modern men's couture look. The first look featured a checked jacket and skinny pants teamed with a houndstooth scarf, a narrow striped tie, and a mink coat, creating a layered style that was neither casual nor formal. This luxurious styling is unique to a couture house. Simple, casual-style blousons and coats offered an exquisite volume that was close to an A-line, while the boxy jackets created a completely new silhouette. The sequin-embroidered shirts and jackets had a truly rock star-esque glamorous feel, and the lineup included fresh items that would look great on the musicians filling the front row.
