Actress Christina Ricci was born on February 12, 1980, in California, USA. She was discovered while performing in a school play at the age of eight and appeared in a TV commercial. She made her film debut in "The Little Mermaids" at the age of nine, and gained worldwide recognition for her role as Wednesday in the 1991 film "The Addams Family." In the 1990s, she appeared in a string of popular films, including "Casper," about the relationship between a father and daughter and ghosts; "Buffalo '66," directed, written, starring, and composed by Vincent Gallo; and "Sleepy Hollow," directed by Tim Burton.
