The Japanese word "kawaii" has become widely used around the world to express the unique sensibility and culture of Japan. This word, which expresses diverse and complex emotions without being bound by a single style, is the keyword for the exhibition "Kawaii et cetera," which showcases Japanese creators. It will be held from January 24 to February 1, 2014, at the Atelier de Paris gallery in Bastille, Paris, concurrently with France's largest exhibition, "Maison & Objet." This joint exhibition features creators and designers with a proven track record in fields that are neither high art nor traditional crafts. Tapie, the company responsible for planning and running the exhibition, also held the "Kawaii Zakka" exhibition in Paris in 2012. Following the overwhelming response in France, this latest exhibition is being held with the support of the City of Paris. The aim of this exhibition is to promote Japan's rare handmade products and their high level of creativity to the world, while also fostering business development and international exchange.
